Profession(s): Doctor (Specializations in Ayurvedic, TCM, and Nutrition therapy)
Doctor comes from the Latin word docēre which means "to teach". As such, Amala also takes an active teaching roll, teaching at ASU and making sure her patients learn about themselves and how to take care of themselves rather than just giving them pharmaceutical drugs. She has written two books on the subject. The first book focuses on helping people make minor adjustments towards optimal health and the second focuses on that too but a bit more on a few recipes for food and herbal medicines. The book is available in 10 different languages. Amala volunteers in the community, giving free healthcare to those that need it in addition to working at ASU and owning her own medical practice in Chandler.
Her mother was also a doctor(and a talented painter).
Hobbies: Blacksmith; Amala picked up the craft from her father who was both a blacksmith and engineer. She really does not sell her items but she does have a photo gallery of things she has created online.
Amala seems to have a presence in the Hindu and Buddhist communities. She funded the opening of a temple dedicated to Vaishnavism; the religion dedicated to her father. The temple fully embraces Buddhism since they believe that one of Vishnu's avatars was Siddhartha Gautama or The Buddha that founded Buddhism.
Lastly, Amala owns a children's home that focuses on finding the children good homes, rehabilitating drug addicted children, and turning them into educated adults. Amala helps fund scholarships for students and tends to their healthcare herself. She thinks of the children as her own.
Her parents background will show that they hired many educational tutors as well as martial arts instructors to each Amala from a very young age, to the point of paying them to come live with them in India while they taught her.
Other Hobbies: Dancing, Martial Arts, Rock Climbing, Hiking, Swimming, and similar.
Income: Her mother was a fairly successful doctor and her father a fairly successful engineer. They left her quite a bit of money. Enough that she can support her entire lifestyle without living off of anything more than the interest being accumulated in the bank. And the money she makes as a doctor and teacher just continue to add to those numbers.
She has a couple of investments into the stock market and frequently makes donations to animal shelters, wildlife reserves, national parks, churches, homeless shelters, hospitals, and similar.
She has hired an accountant and lawyer to handler her financial affairs. Should Amala die half her money is given to various shelters and local temples. The other half is set up to be given to her biological children if she has them at the time of her death. Otherwise, that money is also set to be given to those organizations.

ST: Does Amala wear lipstick like in the pictures?
ReplyDeletePlayer: No, Amala would only wear chap stick unless it was a special occasion. Maybe lip gloss if she is going to entertain guests.
